Calgary's sex trade workers..

There has been a crackdown in these past few weeks about Calgary's sex trade workers and how they are linked to human trafficking. I do realize the human misery involved in the world that is connect with human trafficking but what really amazes me is the fast and efficient work of the Canadian Government is in getting these girls deported.

Yet with the likes of Jackie Tran who is a known drug dealer and has connections with high level street thugs, continues to get deportation reprieves. This guy has no doubt has caused lots of misery in the lives that he has polluted with his drug deals, but he continues to live here in Calgary Alberta. But if you are a by product of human trafficking and forced into prostitution you get a fast ticket home, do not pass go- do not collect two hundred dollars!!

Once again our Canadian Justice system hard at work.

Today on MSN....

A poll question was asked on the MSN sign in page. It read as follows..."Should passengers who get in the car with a drunk driver face charges too?" A whopping 46% of the respondents replied yes.
Just as in the headlines across Canada last week, the government is looking at giving the Police the powers to do road side checks for impaired driving anytime. That is a well in good. Lets just clog up the impotent justice system even more. The government of Canada is going about the problem all wrong.
Until the government enforces strict sentencing guidelines and forces judges to at least minimal sentences. Such as in the case of a drunk driver causing death there should be at least a minimum life sentence to the offender. I urge all readers to contact their local MP's and urge them to enforce laws such as this.
The status quo isn't working. Currently there is no deterent to the action of driving while under the influence.

Follow up to Drunk Drivers Entry...

Daniel Josh Tschetter, 51, of Cochrane was sentenced on October 7, 2009 to six years in prison and banned for life from driving a comercial truck after causing the fatal crash on Dec. 7, 2007. That is six years for murdering five people while driving drunk. Crime does pay in Canada.

Drunk Drivers

In December of 2007 a cement truck driver, Daniel Tschetter of Cochrane Alberta, rammed into the back of a northbound Chrysler Intrepid was stopped at a red light located at the intersection of MacLeod Trail and 194 Avenue Southwest in Calgary. Killing all five occupants of the car. Tschetter was uninjured.

Calgary Police have charged the 50-year-old driver of a cement truck with five counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death in connection with Friday night's crash on the southern edge of the city. The driver was also charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. Police believe alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the crash.

"Excessive speed is one (factor) indicated by a number of witnesses." said police duty inspector Guy Slater . "He (the truck driver) refused to provide a breath sample. There were indicators to the officers that alcohol may have been a factor."

Well Tschetter was convicted of five counts of manslaughter. Now lets call it what it is, murder. There's no excuse anymore. Tschetter is a murderer. He schould be sentenced to five life sentences. But not in Canada.

Should we still call it the Criminal Code of Canada?

There once was a time that criminals could expect swift punishment for the crimes that they inflicted on the law abiding people of this land. That changed. The libs make being a career criminal an easy way of going through life.

There used to be a time when a life sentence meant life. Usually a long life on the end of a very short rope. Not in Canada. Don't get me wrong, I am by no means suggesting that we start a production line like the state of Texas. Where it seems that they have a monthly quota.

I bring you to the case of Windsor, Ontario Police Constable John Atkinson. Constable John Atkinson was gunned down on May 5, 2006. Just two blocks from his home while pumping gas. The scum bags, 18 yr old high school dropouts, Nikkolas Robert Brennan and Coty Clifford Defausses were involved in a drug deal at the time.

Nikkolas Brennan, 20, was convicted of first-degree murder in the May 2006 death of Const. John Atkinson. However, under a section of the Criminal Code commonly referred to as the "faint-hope" clause, Brennan — like any other person sentenced to life in prison — will have the option after 15 years to apply for early release. This is wrong, instead of a faint hope of early release, there should be a parade to the electric chair. Done.

That is why I question why we have a criminal code. Where are the rights of the victims of crime intrenched. Instead of a criminal code I feel it is high time to change it to 'The victims of crime' code. An idea that is long over due.

Thank you for protecting my community Cst John Atkinson and rest in peace.
